Walker asks cabinet to brown bag with workers

Governor Scott Walker, who’s Brown Bag message was a central theme during the campaign, has issued an executive order to his Cabinet Secretaries, ordering them to “meet regularly with frontline workers to identify waste, fraud and abuse.”

“We’ve already heard from many state employees who have suggestions on how to improve state government,” said Walker.  “Those on the frontlines of state government have a wealth of information and ideas on how to make government better and more efficient.  I look forward to joining many of the discussions our Cabinet Secretaries will hold.”

Walker spokesman Cullen Werwie said in a follow up email that defining how often these regular meetings will take place will be up to the individual secretaries.
