Jauch gets hip replacement

bobsterjauchState Senator Bob Jauch won’t be in the Capitol rotunda for the next few weeks.

That’s because the Poplar Democrat is scheduled for hip replacement surgery today. According to a press release from his office, he expects to be in the hospital for a day or two and looks forward to a full recovery in three to four weeks.

“I’m fortunate to have good health insurance and thanks to the quality health care that I have been able to receive, I can look forward to joining the growing ranks of citizens who have new hips and knees and can function in a more pain free manner.”

Jauch was carrying a cane when he and fellow Senate Democrat Tim Cullen of Janesville stopped by the rotunda on July 25th, to observe arrests of sing-along participants.
