In his Wonkblog, Ezra Klein of the Washington Post notes that while Facebook (as well as Pinterest) are drawing more traffic than Twitter – but journalists prefer the latter:
Twitter is simply more useful for our jobs. For better or worse, it’s where news breaks today. It’s also where a lot of real-time reporting happens.
WRN has been using both social media platforms for quite a while now (we have 434 Facebook likes but more than 2,000 followers on Twitter) and I can confirm that, as a useful newsroom tool, Twitter beats Facebook hands-down.
